Joy….the Oxford dictionary defines joy as “a feeling of great pleasure and happiness”. It’s something that can be celebrated together and makes Life feel full of promise and hope and optimism.
We all need a bit of joy in our lives….joy is our birthright….and in this special video presentation, we dive deep into the ancient texts to uncover what brought joy to the Ancient Egyptians and discover ways to bring joy into our lives today.
In the Ancient Egyptian calendar, nearly every day was a festival day to celebrate a god or a goddess, a victory, a divine union, motherhood, or abundance - to name just a few. In living our daily lives filled with challenges, responsibilities, worries, and uncertainty we can become detached from remembering the joy that is available all around us. As we unravel the ancient scrolls, we can find the joy that we’ve forgotten….but that our souls long for.
It all started when…
Hathor first came to me in a dark room where I attended a class to learn how to channel Beings. I didn’t know her then….but she knew me and introduced Her Self. It was powerful and She’s been an integral part of my spiritual studies, growth, and practice for over 20 years.
One year, I put together a series of video presentations all about Hathor and as I’ve continued to heal, process, and start again her presence has continued to guide me. When I was guided by Hathor to listen to my own presentation about Hathor and joy, it may seem strange, but I did….and as I listened, I could feel my body and heart heal more and I began to feel joy once again. I hadn’t forgotten that feeling but I HAD forgotten HOW to feel it a bit.
As Hathor has continued to guide me (and remind me that small steps forward are okay, too), offering this presentation again is something that is bringing my heart so much joy! It does so because I’ve felt the power of the joy of Hathor and I’ve experienced first-hand the transformation that can happen when you open your heart to the possibility of joy and it makes me want to shout it from the rooftop! Even now, I’m imagining my Self on top of her Temple at Dendera basking in the warm sunlight and feeling waves of happiness wrap around me on the wind. I see her face on the tops of the columns like sistra, shaking and dispelling all negativity.
