The Blessings of Gratitude

Goddess Diaries, March 1, 2026:

I was up early driving to work, and as I moved through the countryside beneath the slowly brightening sky, I was singing different melodies of the Awakening Prayer to Hathor in my head, smiling to myself because unlike the Awakening Prayer to Isis, Hathor has never given me only one tune. She seems to enjoy changing things, weaving the prayer through different currents and moods, almost as though each morning carries its own frequency and she simply meets me there.

As I was winding my way through the countryside singing to Hathor, I began to notice a shift in the way my body felt. I started to bring my attention even more inward and realized that the overwhelming feeling I was experiencing was GRATITUDE. I turned my attention more inward and realized that what I was feeling so intensely was gratitude, deep and unmistakable gratitude, the kind that you feel all over but that starts in your heart center and with every heartbeat, reverberates throughout your body and every cell begins to tremble.

And in that moment I remembered Meresankh, Princess and Priestess, who came to me precisely when I needed her most, because I needed to know her name and the deeper meaning it carried for my own soul all these thousands of years after her life in the temples and palaces of Egypt.

Moments like this remind me that spiritual connection isn’t something separate from ordinary life, nor something waiting somewhere beyond reach for only the chosen or enlightened to touch. Connecting with the neteru, with the Goddess, with nature, and with your own soul draws you deeper into trust, surrender, joy, and yes, gratitude, and slowly changes the way you move through your life while you are still fully inside it. I have been through a LOT, truly more than I can even put into words sometimes, and I think this is why my renewed spiritual connection feels so powerful to me now, so alive and breathing and present in the aftermath of everything, because it no longer feels separate from everyday existence. The sacred is not somewhere else waiting behind the veil of this world. It moves through winding morning roads and pale sunrise light, through tired bodies and whispered prayers, through moments of stillness that arrive unexpectedly and ignite within us as waves of gratitude.

Connecting with the neteru, with the Goddess, with nature, and with your own spirit becomes a kind of remembering, a slow return to the deepest parts of yourself that existed long before the world taught you to disconnect, perform, harden, or forget. And when that remembering begins, even softly, it changes the way you move through your life. You begin trusting yourself again. You begin listening differently. You begin noticing beauty, synchronicity, meaning, and guidance where before there only seemed to be exhaustion or numbness.

I know there are seasons of life when that connection feels impossibly far away. I know there are times when life leaves you feeling scattered, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unable to recognize the Self you once felt so close to, the radiant and alive part of you that seemed to move through the world with clarity, magic, and purpose.

But that Self is never truly lost. Sometimes we simply forget. We forget our own depth. We forget our gifts. We forget that the soul has seasons just like the earth does, seasons of blooming and seasons of retreat, seasons of descent and seasons of rising again toward the light.

The important part of this is that at just the perfect time for you, your Self can return and be remembered….gently, slowly, through devotion, intention, prayer, beauty, ritual, rest, and sacred community. You begin remembering your Self back into wholeness. Sometimes it’s a long climb up from the depths of a dark hole you’ve descended into, or a returning to the light outside a warm, safe cave but here’s the Thing: If I can do it, then I believe in YOU that you can do it, too.

This is exactly why I created the 7-Day Oracle Journey of Remembering. Not to escape life, but to reconnect with the part of your Self that can actually feel fully alive inside it. Not to help you become someone new, but to help you return to the parts of your Self that have always been there waiting beneath the noise, waiting beneath survival mode, waiting beneath all the years you may have spent feeling disconnected from your own spirit.

Because the truth is, your soul remembers.

Find out more and register for the 7-Day Oracle Journey of Remembering at the button below. We begin June 13!

P.S. This is also the beginning of a new community opening its doors on the Summer Solstice, and those who step into this first Journey of Remembering will enter as the First Oracles.
