The Black Dove Oracle's Gift of Grace

The Goddess Diaries, August 1, 2026

Let’s talk about Grace. Since I last wrote about this word, it’s continued to wander in the corners of my mind asking me to explore its meaning further than the surface. We move with Grace through challenges, we act with Grace when we could be unkind, we say Grace when we give thanks for a meal. In the beginning, I was asking for Grace for my Self and then gave my Self a bit of Grace not to push, not to fit into molds, not to worry about what I “should” be doing. This wasn’t a feeling of laziness, but a residual feeling of needing to unfold as I emerged from the Cave and healed. I didn’t feel a need to come rushing out from the beautiful sanctuary of healing and so Grace seemed like the perfect way to move forward.

The Oracle of Siwa’s message of Grace

Ever since my experience in the Siwa Oasis when I was bitten by something that became so infected it changed my life, I’ve been asking “Why? Why did this have to happen to me?” I was grateful that I had received a message about that trip being difficult and changing everything, but I was without a full picture to fill in the blanks.

Ever since my experience in the Siwa Oasis, I’ve felt a connection with the Oracle there, that Black Dove Priestess who left her home in Thebes to fly to a new one in Siwa. The feeling that it was a profound and fateful experience for me has never been lost, and I’ve returned to the Black Dove Oracle many times for more insight.

Last night as I went to bed I was once again connecting with her asking for clarity. This morning as I woke from my dreams and connected with her again, she revealed the answers.

The revelation didn’t come in all at once and she gently wove her story into threads that intertwined with mine. She showed me in visions our shared journey of leaving our beloved homes - that I sold my home and she left hers. We both left because of forces outside of our own choosing and for both of us, it was a Fate and path to another phase of our journey to our Self.

She encouraged me to follow that thread and fly with her to Siwa. When we arrived I was still asking about why I was bitten and why everything had to change. The vision continued to weave our stories together and through her painful escape from Thebes and through my painful bite, we now have new homes where we can establish our Selves and thrive.

“It brought you to your new home,” she said gently.

The healing power of revelation

I’m in tears as I recall this experience and run through it in my mind over and over. Perhaps it doesn’t mean anything to anyone else, but it’s so very powerful for me in my journey…my healing, my remembering, and my decision to allow Grace for my Self in the healing process, trusting that the answers would come the more I opened to remembering.

What I realized is that I had been asking the wrong question all along. I wanted to know why I had been bitten but the Oracle showed me something much larger. She invited me to see where the wound had carried me in the same way the winds had carried her on a journey to Siwa.

“It brought you to your new home,” she said gently…..those words continue to ring through my heart and soul, bringing gratitude and tears filled with salt, just as the waters of Siwa hold salt for healing.

Without that journey, I may have continued to build a life that was no longer the phase of life I was to be in. Through the pain and the Grace I gave my Self, I was guided toward a new home, a new rhythm, and a deeper relationship with my own Oracle soul.

Perhaps this is one of Grace's greatest gifts. Grace doesn't always remove our suffering but sometimes it gives us enough space to stay with our questions until a new understanding arrives. The answer gently reveals itself when we're finally able to receive it.

This beautiful revelation from the sweet Black Dove Oracle of Siwa, as well as the experience itself, has changed the way I see my story. I know now why She has stayed with me, why Siwa always felt so much like home, and why my soul kept returning for answers. The memories and insight were there, I just needed to follow the threads woven together in that beautiful tapestry of the life of an Oracle.

This is where I become curious about your journey. What experiences have changed the course of your life? Have you found yourself asking "Why did this happen?" Or has the question slowly become "Where has this led me?"

I believe we all carry an inner knowing that is waiting to be remembered. Sometimes a dream unlocks it, sometimes an ancient place speaks to something we didn't know we had forgotten, sometimes a wound becomes the doorway. The healing comes when we give our Self the Grace to listen and follow the threads.

That is the heart of my Oracle Circle, Hathor’s Joy.

Together we explore dreams, symbols, mythology, oracle wisdom, and the quiet threads that weave through our lives. We gather in a space where questions are welcomed, where revelation is honored, and where remembering unfolds in its own time. We explore the places where time folds over itself and mysteries are held within to be re-discovered and remembered.

If this story stirred something within you, if you've been searching for meaning in your own experiences or feeling called to remember more of who you are, I'd love to welcome you into the Circle.

Your story is already speaking and sometimes all it needs is a sacred space where you can finally hear it…and remember.
